didn't your phone come with a sim card tray similar to this one?

http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-SIM-CARD-TRA...3A1%7C294%3A50

remove the tray and place the card in it and insert the tray w/card

The SIM card is used by a few carriers (T-Mobile is one) and it holds the settings for the cell-phone network, phonebook, etc. that is usually on your phone. If you don't have a SIM card you'll either need to switch to a carrier that uses SIM cards or get one of the aftermarket Bluetooth adapters for the system.

You need a phone module for the sim to work.
