Cayenne328 is infamous around these parts
also looking at a cayenne GTS for the wife. Newborn is 2months old.

Sold the Cayenne S few years back and got an E60 M5 as well. So sorta in the same boat.

How is the rear sculptured seats for the car seats? do they fit? or do you use the middle seat with ISOFIX? How's the ride quality on the GTS? bumpy, harsh, acceptable?

You wouldn't recommend the seats for long drives (2-5hour)

The middle area of the backseat is actually contoured perfectly to fit a standard size infant baby seat (the kind that face rearward). I put a seat protector down and used the seat belt to faster the baby seat, as the middle seat does not have the baby seat clips.

The ride quality of the GTS is good, but I would not say it's a soft ride. My other car is a lowered M5 with 21" wheels, so anything is softer than that. The overall rise quality of the GTS is quite acceptable. I've recently installed the TechArt lowering module, and the ride is still fine for my 2 month old baby.

Good luck!
