It's not. 0W-40 has better low temperature viscosity than 5W-40. Because we rarely see freezing and it's hotter here, I always use 5W-40 or 10W-40 in Redline Synthetic. I'm not a big fan of Mobil 1.

I was told the same that it will and does burn alot of oil I have a 2010 GTS

I have a 2010 Transsyberia that has the GTS engine. It as about 1200 miles on the clock; and, so far, it has not dropped at all on the dipstick.
