frame bent???

Hello guys,

I recently had an accident, I ran over a sidewalk while doing 45-50mph and my front left tire got flat and my wheel got damaged, and I ended up with a crooked steering wheel. There is a slight body damage, and the dealership did a good job on body and I didn't need to go to a body shop. They replaced the tie rods because they were bent, and tried to realign the vehicle. The steering is still crooked and they told me that because of the impact, the frame is slightly bent and that's the reason they can't align the vehicle. They asked me to go to a frame shop and have it straightened.

I went to a frame shop this morning and they told me that there is nothing wrong with the frame and probably the dealership couldn't align the vehicle well. Dealership refuses to realign it as they already did their best and still insisting on the bent frame. Now, what should I do? I'm kinda desperate as both sides are telling that there's nothing wrong with neither frame nor the alignment. I will go to another frame shop to have them look at it, but I want your opinions in the meantime.

How about bent upper and/or lower transverse control arms and/or the steering knuckle?

guys, i brought it to a different shop and they aligned the car and now everything is perfect. Official Porsche dealership told me that the frame was bent, and this shop just laughed at them, realigned the car and it's just like new now. **** Porsche dealerships, all they do is to rip you off.

It would be interesting to know the name and location of that Porsche dealer.

without a full hard impact, it would be near impossible to twist the chassis.
its designed for "flexing" off road, and is very tough.

glad you got it sorted.
