Listen, I'm not trying to start a ****storm here, but one cannot argue the following facts.

An SRT-8 Jeep is roughly $40k and a CTT is roughly $110k.

In your case, you have mods done and I would estimate those to be around $10k or maybe more.

Your comparison of a road race and stated "asswooping" that you laid down is, well, sad for the following reasons.

1. Road racing is irresponsible.

2. Your wife had every right for screaming at you for endangering her life.

3. I pray you didn't have any of your children in the vehicle.

4. I could buy three SRT-8 Jeeps for the price of one CTT.

Now, all that being said, I am a CTT owner, so before you go trying to jump down my throat about my passion for SRT products, you need to keep that in mind.

+1, 170mph is way too fast for the road, too many unpredictable drivers on the road.

I'm not going to "jump down anyone's throat", everyone has an opinion. I had been drag racing for years, registered at MIR, Capital Raceway, 75/80 (Ford, don't shun me for that one either) but the lesson learned long ago is a simple fact, the one with the bigger dollar wins! Not saying I'm rich or stating anything about anyone's income. The quote just says the one willing to spend the money on what they enjoy will be the one winning in most cases.

I'm curious to know if anyone has taken the time to go after all the people who state that the SRT is faster than the Cayenne? there are plenty of websites supporting this Then there are some that cry that they are not willing to spend the time and money to improve their car but knock someone who does. The races I run have been straight up races, I've challenged and I have been challenged to run. I've won and I have lost but it is what it is and the one who tune their car the best and drove it to their ability wins. That's how the race is won.

Yes Minh was a pleasure to work with. I never had a chance to meet him personally but I communicated with him on a weekly basis for about two years as he tuned many of our customer's Porsches. It was a sad day when his co-worker called and said that he passed away as I had just talked to him the week prior. What a great, down to earth guy and the Porsche community will truly miss such an enthusiastic and experienced person.

Drag racing and street racing are TWO very different things.

The fact that you missed the entire point of my first post says a lot about how you're wired. IMO, wired with only you in mind. "The one willing to spend the money on what they enjoy will be the one winning most cases". HUH? That's a real head scratcher there pal.

The other point of my post was that if two vehicles of similar size were to lineup next to each other and compare across the board in size, weight, dimensions, etc. yet one was nearly 3 times as expensive, I would fully expect the lesser to get outrun. IF that SRT-8 even hung anywhere near you, I would say that he is the victor, not you.

Whelp I guess I should let you know he was left far behind, makes me the victor? or you just enjoy having a pointless argument? If you want to put up or shut up, I will be in Tampa in April with my Cayenne. We can even run at the drag strip. Bring one of your cars or go buy a 40k SRT. I can win or lose graciously, can you? So you know, my very good friend has an SRT that he is rebuilding, very good chance he will blow my doors off, he knows his stuff and can drive. But that's the name of the game.

FYI, at the end of the run my wife had a huge smile on her face, she never had been that fast. We didn't fly by any cars at that speed, the road was open at that time. Although when it was all done and after I got the thumbs up for the SRT, he continued on at above speeds and began weaving in and out of traffic. My wife and I journeyed on at traffic speed. Note I am still not pointing fingers for what anything anyone does, I do not judge.

This post was to share the enthusiasm of our cars, if you choose to just argue you are welcome to find another post to lean on.

I can easily put $20K into an SRT and probably spank you pretty handily for half the price. You sir are a moron for taking a heavy SUV on a public road so fast, not knowing what unknown thing may happen and you're a bigger idiot for putting your wife at risk.

I routinely take my Viper over 170 mph, on a road course. You may want to check into that Einstien.

Well, there you have it, The SoCal has spoken.

08CayennneTT - In regard to meeting in Tampa, OK. I can meet up anytime after mid-month. Prepare to lose!!!

So I'm wondering if the turbos are a straight-up bolt-on? Any oil line or water line mods or fitting changes? Did you have to pull the motor to get them in there?

We had to drop or suspend the motor down (the front section can drop as a unit) in order to access the turbo's. The '09 Turbo's are a direct replacement, no modes needed. I did change to HyperBoost diverter valve HX Compact.
