Unless it's a Toyota (red coolant) I am going for trans fluid. If it is the common leak (from what I've read) I guess torque converter seal.

Coolant most likely from the plastic pipes beneath the intake manifold, but can often be followed by torque converter seal as well.

Porsche coolant when seen through a clear container is an orangish pink color.
Its Coolant.

can you name my leak?

Hello, I have a leak in the unit between the engine and the transmission, it leaks very fast. It happend when I did a brake boost launch.

It leaks out of the threaded holes at the bottom of the houseing that bolts between the eng and trans.

2004 cayenne s V8 4.7L 80,000 miles.

Thanks

Hmmmm.....
The only thing between the engine and the transmission is the transmission. If it is transmission fluid, and I suspect it is, it is the input shaft seal that has gone..... It's replacement requires transmission removal I am afraid. However, on early 04 transmissions it is "not" a replaceable part and requires a transmission change....You will have to check the TSB's for this info.
Bob

Sorry, there isn't a TSB for this info. It is dependent on trans serial number. A Porsche dealer will have the required info.....
