Is there supposed to be some sort of alarm or sound that goes off when I get out of the vehicle and have turned the headlights or park lights on manually?

same here. sorta like a pleasant ding... ding.... ding... ding.... until you close your door or turn the lights off.

or does it chime when you take your key out? i don't recall.

is there a door 'switch' that is getting stuck on your car? or is it more an electronic problem?

i sure wish the auto setting was more sensitive to low light conditions. it should practically turn on 100% of the time in this soupy fall/winter weather... but no... i have to manually turn on my lights on a dark gray day like today.

or.... it would be nice to have daytime running lights always. turn the ambers on all the time, then i wouldn't care how sensitive the headlights were.
