A xmas gift from porsche and xm??

Strangely enough, i started to notice red/yellow highlighted roads on my navigation screen. I did NOT have the xm traffic option, never had sat radio or do i see any traffic messages/dynamic routing functions.
But i do have red/yellow lines on my nav screen representing traffic flows. Anyone notice this on their pcm 3??

i would say for me it's somewhat accurate... I need more time to test. if i dont have a sat receiver, how would the nav have any idea of the traffic at all??

touareg is infamous around these parts
Check your radio options, for years in europe about 98 or so they have the traffic functionality via RDS or something. These radios have the ability, but far as I know, no one in the US does the TP stuff. Why do for free when they can charge you? If you have TP turned on, it can display information for this as well as alert you to a station that has a announcement. Ever have you cd or radio suddenly tune to another station? Some stray code sent it there.

So maybe a station in your area is doing it?
