My Suggestion would be not to do anything to the car. Before my current CTT I had a 2004 V6 Cayenne. Added the Fabspeed cat bypass pipe and had nothing but issues with the transmission shifting afterwards. The transmision would shake horribly at speed and would feel like the whole car was going to rattle apart. I took the pipe out and still had the same issue and the truck was never the same. I don't know if it was due to the bypass pipes or mileage (give or take 45k).
I've heard that the V6 transmission is not the same as the V8 or T.(not sure if it's true or not) That being said if I had a issue with just a catbypass pipe then I shudder to think what issues would arrise on a more highly modified V6 .
To turbo or SC the car would be VERY expensive and I know it would be money much better spent to upgrade to a either a S or a Turbo. The only Turbo kit I've seen to date was I believe Gemballa's and it was VERY expensive. (15-18K I believe)
My advise would be to leave the car as is and enjoy it or take the mod money you are going to spend and trade the V6 for a V8 or V8TT.

Yup I hear you loud and clear. I forgot to add that question to the OP "If the V6 trans could handle more power". Thanks for your input.

I guess I need to switch this slow V6.

I had a Lexus Is200. Turboed it.
forged pistons and conrods
extra fuel pump etc

the transmission blew up

Sell the V6 and look else where for more power.
