2009 cayenne s coolant low

Hi,
Today the "check coolant level" light came on. I immediately stopped at a gas station and added some coolant/antifreeze. My car only has 8900 miles, have heard about earlier models having tubes/pump issues.. But is it normal have have low coolant level at 8900 miles??
Thanks

Definitely not normal. Take it to the dealer. You're also not supposed to mix coolants, so the radiator may need flushing.

How low is low?
When you looked at the reservoir was it bone dry, or just at the low mark?

Usually, a bottle of Redline "Watter Wetter" and a cup of distilled water is all that's needed to top it off. With that small amount, adding antifreeze isn't even an issue. And yes, the WW is compatible w/ AF.

its below low mark. my dealer wants to take it in immediately, as they suspect it's a leak.

there's a bulletin to replace the o-rings of the coolant system. the pressure test may come out negative, since the pressure activates the o-rings and it may seem that there's no leak, but when the pressure is gone, o-rings will start leaking back, tell your dealer to not to pressure test the radiator.

Having only 8900 miles ,it may have been low to begin with and not caught during the PDI inspection at the dealer.
