Anyone has similar experience with rattling center console?

It sounds like the plastics are grinding against each other, creating a rattling noise. It gets even worse when you rest your elbow on it while driving.

Noise started after dealer installed the universal adapter. Wonder if he forgot to put back some screws or parts.

Any recommended fixes please advise.

totally annoying isnt it?

you will get used to it...

i'm still trying to work out solutions. next one is silicone spray!

get rid of those dumb rubber lid stops and replace them with small
self stick felt ones from any lowes home depot ect, you will be golden.

 

Does anyone have pictures/instructions on how to open the center console ?
I have a wire rattling that I want to fix.

Based on the docs that I've received from the previous owner, the dealer put the additional pads to eliminate the noise, not sure exactly where and how the dealer fixed it but mine doesn't have the plastic noise coming from the center console.

 

I had this same problem, I used silicone spray and that's worked so far.

 

Mine does it to, especially when I lean my elbow on the center console.
