cigarette plug does not cut power

I got those cheap black lights which u plug into the cigarette lighter.
I just got it in the trunk and plugged it in in the cigarette lighter in the trunk.
anyway, its got sensors, so when its daylight it turns off by itself, but at night when the car is not on, the cigarette lighter is still getting power so the light doesnt turn off(notice that you can turn on ur radio without the keys in). anyone know how to disable the power when the keys are not in the ignition?
cus if i leave it like that, the lights will burn out fast and im scared that my car wont start in the morning!! lol I know the black lights are stupid to have but it actually looks nice to have dim lights at the back when ur driving and it was a gift from a friend so i wnna use them. any suggestions?
its a 04' cayenne S btw if that mkes a difference. thanks!

You can rewire it. Besides that, there's nothing you can do with the constant 12v sockets.

from what I remember when finding a spot for my v1, before I hardwired it, arent one of the two plugs under the glove on/off with power?
I know the cig is constant, one of the unders are constant, but I thought one under the glove was on/off with power.
check it.
