So for 2011 Cayennes I have been hearing that the GTS and Turbo s variants would be re-released 6 months to a year after the cayenne had been released, but I have yet to find any official news about it. Should I ask my dealer or does anyone know about anything on this? My father is considering one after seeing the one I had, but me and my brother suggested he might want to wait for the Turbo S. Any input would be great

 

I would imagine you won't see them until sales of the current models slow down.

The Turbo S did not come out until 06 and the first Cayennes were 02. The first GTS was an 08.

So you may be waiting awhile.

They may also decide to do somem funky variation on the hybirds and skip the turbo S and GTS. Just depends on where they see the market going in a few years.(dreaming of a turbo V8 hybrid)

 

Hmm alright thanks for the reply, by the way I read something that said the cayenne turbo S would get a v10 engine with 580 HP o-0, I don't think that would be very smart, unless they plan on doing it like the Audi Q7 and making it the v10 TDI(or maybe a v10 hybrid xD?), but I don't know. The Turbo v8 Hybrid would be pretty nice though, but we shall see what the future brings. o-o

 

Porsche historically does not release an S version until the end of a model run.
