Replacing brakes?
Replacing brakes?
I took my car in for service and they advised me that in a month or so depending on how I drive I will need to replace my brakes.. I figured it was just the pad but then they quoted me a price of 1200 and saying they have to change the roter as well? because the way the porsche brake system works it wears down the pad and roter
Not sure if that needs to happen so just wondering who has had to do this or if there is a more cost effective way around this?

diy...
4 Porsche rotors $450-ish
Hawk HPS (or Ceramics) $240-ish
4 sensors $50
Special Service Tool for rear rotors $40
and you have new brakes front and rear...
Chances are 1200 is for JUST the fronts.

You can also do something with the calipers if you want to leave it here a little longer...
