Did K&N Drop-ins and Diverter Valves = Nice
Did K&N Drop-ins and Diverter Valves = Nice
Anyone contemplating an upgrade to their 955 CT should definitely consider adding the dropins and upgrading the diverter valves. Car is much more responsive and it appears I am holding more peak boost .75 vs. .7. Coupled with the additional performance of my Fabspeed cat bypass I am wondering if I "need" to get an ECU tune as well.

Oiled filters are a fairly common cause of maf failures. I like the K&N filter but would wash it and run it dry to save your mafs. Dry it will filter just like any of the other dry cloth filters.(cone filters)
They now make oil-free filters. As you know the oil is the basic filtering defense so the particles stick to the filter material. I am aware of this issue, and it did seem like the filter had significantly less oil on it than in the past. One's i used years ago had oil residue on the wrapping where these were perfectly clean.
To my knowledge only evoms has a cone oil-less filter. They charge $695 for that vs. $595 for the oiled.

Did the diverter valves due to the recommendation that the stock ones are slow and do not hold peak boost. After removal, my driver side one seemed noticeably weaker. Boost was improved by 1/2 bar (maybe 15hp??), but the drivability changes much more and it is suprisingly responsive.
