Ok...found it...looks like I'm getting 18.3 mph for my first 500+ miles. No too bad considering I live in the foothills of northern California and just took a trip over several mountain passes - never slowing for curves or needing the climbing lane. Like I said - just about 2x the efficiency of my old S/C'd '97 Land Cruiser...

Can't wait to get my "break in" miles done and see if it'll really do 0-60 in 4.4 sec

I should have gone for the Madone. I am $11K into this and could have been less then half that. Hindsight 20/20

I don't know about half...I got a free frame (replacement from a warrantied 2008 5.2 that was totaled after hit by a vehicle), but still have the full undiscounted build sheet, and I'd be in for right at $8k with just the RXL rims...Zipps would push the build up closer to $10k. My RSL is also right at $8k....seems to be the "entry fee" for a full DA custom bike (I also priced Lynskey, Seven, Serrotta, Dean, etc).

On the wheels, yer right there. I originally was on Reynolds with CF blade spokes - HOLY CRAP did they ride stiff. The 404's are real comfy. I can feel some flex when I am up and pushing hard, but the lack of pain is worth it. Disgustingly out of shape this season, so probably more flex then I care for.

Oh well - wont hijack a C forum any further - but nice ride in both cases!

I'm highjacking now...I ride an s-works ruby with full DA! I am disgustingly out of shape this year as well and my new presents will be my new Cayenne and probably a Cervelo...just love the looks! I am short, but got fitted to their smallest frame. I am going to ride the s-works into the ground until I get to my goal!

Very nice Cayenne, got myself a Lexus LX a month before the cayenne came out and am regretting it. Were you able to get anything off MSRP, if so what percentage off did you get? What are some of the main options you got and what do you think about them?

Cervello TT in black and white was my inspiration bike - not that I would run a TT bike as a street ride. Wish you were further north, we could be 2 slugs on nice bikes.

I typically don't like white cars, but white really does suit the new cayenne really well. Congrats!
