Changing Colors of my Cayenne to Matt

Hey Guys,

I have a full Gemballa Body Kit on my Cayenne with 22' rims. I am thinking of changing the color of my Cayenne from Marooon to a Matt color? Any recommendation or advice?? I am currently thinking either Full Matt Black With Black Rims or Full Matt Grey With Black Rims.

Thanks

Have you thought about keping the same color and using the new Xpel Stealth film to cover the entire car. It's a urethane film, same as the clear bra only it has a matt finish. You can go to there website and check it out. There will probably be an installer near you too.

Cheaper than repainting, you'll maintain the factory finish and as a bonus protect the paint job from rock chips and road rash.

lol sounds like "stealth" marketing. j/k just checked out the website, i like it. the film is almost 12 mils thick(wow), compared to the vinyle stuff (4-6mils thick).

Hey Ahmed,

I concur with the others. This new clearbra stealth line is a decent option. Although, I am not sure how your color would look matte- may look more brownish? The vinyl is an option for you as well, but be prepared, it isnt cheap to do and it will never match paint for the way it lays on the body no matter who installs it. Some crevices just cant be layed as smoothly as paint due to the angles. Let us know what you decide to do.

FWIW most cars with the flat black look are not "matte" they are a "satin" finish. A true flat matte black looks like crap. The car will look like you pulled it from a fire.

My thinking right now is to stay away from matte black or grey, it seems every other person around the corner has one. I will probably wait till I end up going to the shop to see the various options I have.

ya Ahmed, don't do it. Trade it in for a new Cayenne and mod it like crazy.
