Cayenne market, have some questions
Cayenne market, have some questions
Greetings
After a few months of patiently shopping for a RR s/c and not finding exactly what we want, weve decided to consider the Porsche Cayenne. Ive recently sold my 01 996 tt to a board member, and always had regrets, now the wife is pregnant and even though she wanted a Rover ive talked her back into a Porsche.
Although I would love the Cayenne tt, my wife would prefer the non turbo.
So, whats the big difference between the Cayenne, and the Cayenne S. Anything to look out for ? I am shopping for 2007-2008's.
Any must have options, any input would be appreciated.

There were no Cayennes made for the 2007. 2008 saw a light redesign but major upgrades to the powertrains. Base 2008-2010 Cayenne V6 has 290 hp, CS has 385 hp, both about 40 hp better than their predecessors. Google "2008 porsche cayenne" and you'll find a lot of useful info. I just picked up a 2008 V6 today for the price of a new Honda Pilot (OK a loaded Pilot). Definitely a no-brainer.
The S is WAY better. MUCH more torque to move around a heavy 5500lb SUV.
...And the gas mileage is equal or better than the V6.
Sounds great, fun to drive, and I really can't think of too many times where I was lusting for a TT.
For me a must have option is the Air Suspension. It gives you so many more choices as far as ride height, stiffness, etc. I use mine all the time.
