Tipmode does not fix the problem..neither does turning off PSM...
I try both every day...
It helps to be in Tip....but....not a fix...still hit the 'dead zones''...press the gas and nothing happens...not only on turns...
crappy software...it is a freaking joke...

But I am gunshy...and pissed that I have had to deal with all this crap in a $70K Porsche.
My only consolation is that it is not a $100K Porsche....

The last upgrade made it from deathly dangerous to moderately dangerous...

The diesel does kick some serious ***. Over 550 TQ!! And like you said, much nicer interior than Cayenne.

Shifts great, little lag, no oil burn and no intermittent steering wheel shim/vibration. My car has the latest ecu software and the newest tip controller unit that was done when I picked the car up last fall.

Ben,
Can't you get them to take it back?
I think if you keep bringing it in for the same problem you would have a good chance of getting a new one or a refund.
I am considering it but don't know what to buy.
I love much about the Cayenne, I could live with all of the problems if it had 'crisp' shifting like most other cars and trucks I have driven.
The 'dead zones' that I experience sometimes just drive me up the wall. Especially now that I drive in aggressive, heavy NYC traffic. The cayenne does not like these conditions whatsoever...It prefers the open road...
