another point is that were you to use your pepper off road, even on gravel roads, and if a small stone becomes trapped between a caliper and the disc, the disc is shot. this is not, by any means, an uncommon event. no warranty coverage.

Really???

Can you elaborate?

What about if you live in a hot & humid climate? Does the climate also play a factor in how prematurely (or not) the PCCB can expire?

Thanks

...the two examples of PCCB brake wear that I provided were from Houston TX...very hot, very humid. I run my car (2009 C2S) with PSM on. My friend's GT3 is run with stability and traction control on as well.

Motor Trend's 60-0 stopping distance of 107 ft for the Turbo with steel brakes pretty much puts it into world class category for ANY street vehicle.

These should put you thru the windsheild if you like, and for half the cost. Plus, it's a two-piece design. You can replace just the rotor and keep the hat. I think brembo makes a six piston kit for the rear to

match.http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/b...ne-p-7881.html

I just got them on my 2011 Panamera 4. Love the feel of them and no brake dust. The car will be an every day driver and I was told when used like that the Rotors will go 200k miles and the pads will go 50-75k.

I've really been satisfied with my PCCBs on the street and track both, at temps ranging from 30-101 degrees F. The only time that my brakes squeal is, after a car wash, if I haven't thoroughly rinsed the rotors and calipers. On cold mornings I am not concerned that the brakes will either squeal or fail to stop the car very quickly.

Bare in mind that the individual who believes that you need your head examined if considering ceramics may have just removed a perfectly good exhaust system, spent three grand or more to improve the sound (the sound!) of his car.

Now...where's that number for Capristo?

I had the pccb's on my 997tts and the stopping power is equal to it's acceleration
On my JBM CT i bet the yellow calipers will pop
Not to mention that the more stopping power you have on the Autobahn, the better
And when my Peppah arrives back in Flo-ridah,i plan on modding it as much as possible,so that stopping power will serve me well

it's nice to have that option on your list.. if price is not a concern go for it..
ceramic brakes on a daily driver for me is an overkill (again, just my opinion).. now if you track it on weekends, than that's what you need..

how about a burmeister audio option? hhmm.. that "sounds" nice ;-)

No experience yet but ordered them with 2011 CTT.
Even if just no break dust is the result, worth it. GTS was pathetic with break dust!!!
But they are better and newer generation that anyone that complains about earlier ones.
Expensive yes, but during build it is about 9k, after build for Oem
Replacement I was quoted $15-20k.
Get them if you have the $$$ to spend.
