Motor Trend Names The Cayenne SUV of the Year!
Very nice read Jim. Thank you for posting. There are times when one (atleast I have this past week) wonders how the h**** can someone justify spending 110K on a SUV. That article was definitely a positive reinforcement.
For some people that have the money it's nothing to drop that small change around to purchase them. Spending that much on any vehicle is outrageous isn't it, but we do it...

nice to read this.
"Spin the steering wheel and the news gets even better, as our Cayenne S' 0.91g lateral cling outcornered everything we'd ever classified as an SUV except the new Turbo, which manages 0.95g. The Turbo trumped all 'utes in the figure eight as well, laying down a 24.8-second, 0.81g run. That's Corvette Z06/Lamborghini Murcielago territory! The S tied the burly Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (and Infiniti G37 coupe) circulating the course in 26.1 seconds at 0.69g. Two options helped our Turbo achieve its uncanny handling: an active anti-roll bar system ($3510) and a torque-vectoring rear axle ($1490), both of which -- along with the ceramic brakes -- are available on any Cayenne."
I guess the Cayenne S doesn't have PDCC or PTV.
also, "Detroiter Lassa observed, "Few SUVs, even sporty ones, can put down the power as effectively as the Cayenne S, especially out of tight turns," adding, "I'd take this over a Panamera all day long." Kiino found it "Stays mostly flat through turns, but offers up a bit of roll, which I like. Reminds me a little of how an STI handles," concluding, "The Cayenne S finally feels like it has Porsche DNA."

The CTT with PTV/PDCC (and PASM which comes standard) would outperform any SUV in this planet. The CS with PTV/PDCC/PASM would handle better than a base CTT without PASM/PTV in my opinion.
Here are the youtube links. I'm surprised the other german SUV's did not make it to the final list. Watch them and let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

No they did not. They compared each SUV individually to 6 different criteria (the second video shows you what those criteria are: like build quality, safety features, value for money etc). So it was not a head to head comparison. I am very surprised that there is no X5, Q5 Toureg, FX, MDX in the final 6 or 7.
