My wife drives the Cayenne and prior to that her mother drove it (we bought it from them) and both of them used automatic car washes. Needless to say the paint was pretty beat up. The tailgate was and is the worst, some of the brush marks will make you cringe. I spent about 10 hours on the thing... clay bar'd it, polished it with compound, waxed it. Wiped out the wheel well liners, polished and waxed the wheels, polished the headlights and tail lights (lightly). In the end it came out pretty good. I can't get all of the scratches out of the tailgate even though I went over it 6 times with the porter cable and compound, think I need something more aggressive.

I have always liked that color, even in the 997 too.

Meguiars Ultimate Compound. It's not very aggressive so that might be the problem on the tailgate.
