Glad to see that it is finally moving forward. If you haven't switched out the plastic coolant pipes yet we offer a kit that includes everything to upgrade your coolant pipes. The new and improved aluminum construction makes this kit a permanent solution, and our convenient 21 piece kit makes the swap easier. This kit includes everything you need, even new coolant.

I just bought a 2004 Cayenne S about a month ago. I do not know if it still has the plastic pipes or not. If it does can I still join the class action suit? How would I get added to it? Thanks.
My guess would be that if this is ever settled, it will be handled similarly to the way the issue with ignition coils was handled. In order to be reimbursed for replacement of the ignition coils, you had to meet the following criteria:
- You had to be the registered owner of a 2003 - 2006 Cayenne V8 model
- You had to have paid to replace the coils for the specific failure mode outlined in the settlement
- The repair had to have been performed before the date of the letter, and before the car had 100,000 miles on the odometer
- The repair had to have taken place at an authorized Porsche dealer and it was required that you provide a copy of a receipt showing the date of repair, the mileage at time of repair, the itemized charges, a description of the concern and your name as the owner at the time of the repair
All this documentation was mailed to PCNA, and if their review determined that you qualified for reimbursement, then they mailed you a check several months later.
Based on this settlement, I would expect the coolant pipe settlement to be similar. In my case, I had my coolant pipes replaced proactively. As a result, I'm not sure if I'll be eligible for reimbursement even if a settlement is reached.

Coolant Crossover Pipes
2008 Cayenne S. Kept smelling the sweet smell of coolant in the cab. Multiple trips to the dealer with the typical (we can't smell anything) response. Water pump change at dealer and coolant found on engine. Dealership stated "they fixed the leak." A few months later complete dump of coolant without my knowledge. Noticed temp climbing and vehicle went into a limp mode (wouldn't go above 40mph). Crossover broke....so apparently the defect continues. They stated that the high engine temps would not harm the pistons etc. Really?

I'm just guessing it's too much trouble for you to read this thread? If so - it's too much trouble for anyone to respond to a question that would be answered by reading the thread.
You might start by reading THIS THREAD and following some of the links in it.
For anyone "interested" the recommended action would be to read the 18 pages of useful information, follow the link to the action registration, register as a joined plaintiff and follow the thread and await information from the class action site. This will take a while as all legal action does.
So post a reply, can the leaky coolant lines leak directly into combustion chamber AN
can the leaky coolant lines leak directly into combustion chamber AND oil ?
Appreciate if someone can help me out with this info
Thank you.
