DCT New Flat Bottom Steering Wheel for the Cayenne
DCT New Flat Bottom Steering Wheel for the Cayenne
DCT has a new flat bottom steering wheel. I have used these on both my 997TT and M5 and love them to death. What do you think?

Since you asked, let me ask an honest question here.
Why are these wheels so expensive?
I picked up a SWEET Momo, brand new for my other Porsche for about $300. (and a cheap but very cool GT wheel for my old pickup, brand new for $50, these are complete wheels, not recovered ones)
I see several "Custom wheel reupolsters" that will recover the wheel in anything you want and do "thumb bolsters" etc for sub $300s as well.
It can't be becuase they are "airbag" wheels since the airbag does not come with it.
Is is soley because of the limited market?
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one of these in my 04 CTT. But quite honesly I bought it used and am having a hard time seeing that sort of price. (I can sorta see it for a $100K car, but not for a sub $30K car).
Maybe I am missing something here in the construction? (which also brings up the point that you lose the heated wheel feature right?)
A Momo race wheel is a different story. These require the cores, they are not just recovered, they have molds that are made and handle the outter enhanced shape... At the end of the day, is DCT cost $300 as the manufacture, no idea. Is my cost $300, no. Nobody is making 500% here. If you want to get your wheel done for $300 by someone you trust, I say go for it. There is always different ways to get things done, I just use, sell, and deal with what I know works, fits, looks quality.
