Rumoured /semi confirmed Porsche model strategy
From Chris(CFG) at funcarsonline: BTW, he's usually right on the money.

The following reflects pretty much the European introduction of the new / updated Porsche models
Cayman S with 3.4 liter and 295 DIN hp in september 2005
Cayman with 3.2 liter 280 DIN hp in october 2006
January 2007 gives us the updated / facelifted Cayenne with
3.6 liter V6 with 280 hp, 360 hp V8 S and 500 hp V8 Turbo there is a rumour that there will even be a 540 hp version. Engine is likely to go up to a 5.0 liter displacement.
In early 2006 probably at the Geneva Autoshow the new 997 TT will be presented with a 3.8 liter 500 hp flat 6
Later this year - probably starting june Carrera 4 will be available.
The GT3 is likely to be available in june 06 with a flat 6 with 395 hp out of a 3.8 liter engine and there maybe an RS version with 410 hp.
All C4 versions will have the wider Turbo body !
And there will be a Targa with a widebody C4 drivetrain in mid 06.
The SDKG double clutch system is unlikely to be available before 2007 so is the sequential gearbox that is now coming in the GT3 Cup.
Bad news ia that Porsche does not plamn to go back into racing
