Just to clarify and IIRC, the stereo itself isn't that different between the first 3 (not sure on the Burm), just the amp, speakers, features, etc. I believe the stereo unit itself is Becker? I read it on one of these forums, but can't remember for sure. And many folks on RL said the same about the Bose, which made my switch a little easier.

What ?????? Are you saying Bose and Burmester are just speakers ?
I would seriously not consider getting Burmester than..
Lexus has Mark Levinson inscribed on the CD player and assume it is both speaker and the player.

Here's a link to the thread I started last Sept on RL where one of the mods mentioned the head unit was made by Becker. He seems to know his stuff...

Dunno .. I just added it.. I don't even like the stupid little Bose logos everywhere.. reminds me of my friends old Nissan. Anyhow like we all agreed I will probably never ever use the 6 CDs.. its locked now - no changing - ****ty waste of $1300.00 bucks. Would much rather of had added the hitch stuff. C'est la vie.

If you're debating Bose or not and nothing higher.... It's a no brained, get the Bose. The lesser isn't worth anything. If your serious and if you are an avid listener the burm is l
Much better and crisper than the Bose I have in my gts, MUCH. With every penny. And with the therm glass, wow, it's a concert just for me in my car.

This may be true. The Cayenne brochure mentions only amplifiers and speakers.
