build date timeline
Hi guys:
my build date was 6/8 (yesterday) and dealer just told me the pepper is being painted today. typically it takes 4 days to finish production right?
do they paint at the end of production or at the beginning?
p.s
waiting is the hardest part... besides reading threads on this forum what will help to ease the long wait?!

Paint Shop has its own code and comes as last or next to last step. Usually takes a week or two to load on vessel, three weeks or less at sea, an erratic amount of time in port customs, and good dealer arrival and detailing turnaround once picked up by trucks.
Best wishes.

How did you actually find out a production date? My dealer is always vague when I asked. Earlier this week he sent me a printout showing that the car was in status "plprod" with an allocation period of "X06" but keeps telling me that means it can be build anytime in June.
