Does anybody know what the button behind/underneath the accelerator does?

Question

So what would happen if I taped this little button down and left it on all the time?

Well, I dont have a cayenne.... But in every onther car I have had it turned off the a/c compressor. In an old Audi I had it would only turn it off in first or second gear.
