There was a thread started awhile back where I also added to it about the panels on the engine lifting up....

Well after I took my CTT in for a check-up I told them to fix the engine flaps as well

turns out they cannot just replace the turbo working stickers/emblems, they actually have to replace the entire top engine manifold with an updated one.

There is a bulletin out for these to be replaced. Turns out Porsche didn't install the ones that are able to withstand heat above 220 degrees, and when these engines get above that the glue starts to separate.

SO, short story, even shorter, here is a before and after pic of the old vs the new manifold.



oh and long story short again.... they scratched the side of my car when it was in.......

We are working to get the issue resolved. They have apologized 1000 times and will fix everything they say, but when it's resolved I will update....

 

I have never seen that engine cover!!1 Yuck glad they got it for you....

Off topic........think I can rebagde my engine bay? ha ha.......base head acting like he has a turbo.
