Question HELP! Extended Mirror Solution for Towing a Wide Trailer

While I've acted upon recent advice and have my trailer brake installed (and my Porsche trailer controller updated to work with LED trailer tail lights), I am going to have to use extended mirrors to get my 8'6" wide body travel trailer safely down the road.

Anybody have any experience with Extended Mirrors for a 2005 Cayenne Turbo? Titianium colored.

Thanks n Advance!

Hi,

There isn't any I found that work. They push the mirrors in at speed due to the euro retracting system. I got a little wireless camera I put in the back window of my trailer with a screen in the cab so I can see a little of people behind me.

Sorry if you do find a solution post here.

Tomorrow I'm picking up a hopefully successful solution:

I'll have a report for you as I learn.

Just do what the majority of people pulling trailers do: signal light on and go lol

I got the one mirror. I thought there was a pair. It is flat while the add claimed it was concave. I ordered another one--all that are available are flat, not concave!

However, the suction was inadequate. Also, the depth of the suction cup requires one bring the mirror Out, ie, make the distance more shallow so the bar doesn't impede suction.

I'll work with this some more and tell you what I find.
