Front Brake Recommendations?

Hello All,
Getting ready to put new front brakes on my wife's 2004 Cayenne S. It has the silver brake calipers. I know there are red and black calipers also and that means something. I think the silver calipers means the size of the rotor being 350 mm? Any recommendations on rotors, pads and size would be greatly appreciated. I've changed brakes on my other cars with no problems (BMW's) Do I need anything special? Should I replace the sensor cable also? Is there one or two? Thank you again.

I was going to do the same thing until I was told that the rotors are not turnable. So, oem rotors, pads, and sensors (did not need to change sensors) all the way around was the way I went at 25kmi. (just had the dealer look at them for the 40k service and still good.)

Brakes are pretty easy on the Cayenne. You can measure the rotor thickness with a caliper to see if they are still within spec, and do a visual inspection to determine if you can do only the pads. On my first brake change, I did pads and not rotors. If the brake workshop warning has illuminated, then you'll need to change the sensors too. That's easy, and sensors are pretty cheap.

In first gen Cayennes, the silver calipers of the CS and the red calipers of the CTT are identical with the exception of paint color. The CTTS has bigger red calipers. The black calipers from the V6 are smaller.

+1 on pads and/or rotors being quite easy on this car.

I usually get away with just pads in the front every other time the sensors go off. So rotors and pads, then pads, then rotors and pads, etc.
