Here's my scenario: looking at a sweet deal on a 08 CTT. However what I do know is this vehicle does not have the ipod/iphone integration unit built in like the 2009- present models have. I've read about NAV TV and Denison aftermarket units. I dont even know what the stock head unit is but can someone tell me 1) how easy it is to install an aftermarket ipod/iphone unit 2) which one I should consider? 3) Will these aftermarket units allow control of the iphone from the steering wheel and/or the head unit itself? Ive searched this forum for some answers but get confused. Anyone who can shed some light would be appreciated!! I'm also looking at an 09 GTS and 10 CS....I'm thinking the CTT is the way to go...maybe not...THANK YOU!!

$799 + $99 is a tad steep since the same capabilities (Bluetoof/iPod) appear to be available as a Mobridge ABT2010-PSH-F for $729 complete from other sources.. (did I miss something you're including?)

I like to support sponsors - and appreciate your Porsche specific expertise, but $169 additional isn't chump change..

This sounds too good to be true....what does the installed unit look like? is there a connector wire that I plug into my iphone? does it support the 3GS iphone or newer iphone 4? Can you post any photos of what it would look like? And do I need it professionally installed? If so, who in the SF Bay Area can you recommend? sorry for all the lame questions- I'll admit, I'm such a novice...but 6speedonline has always served me well. Thank you!!

Does this work with an 06 with OEM NAv. No idea what PCM number it is.

+1 for the iTronic unit! Installed one myself, in my '08 GTS. Works great! Excellent customer support as well.

 

i tried the NAV -TV for the PCM 3.0 - i realize you are looking at the PCM 2.1 - but based on my experience with the NAV - tV - stay a 100 miles away. i am ripping it out next week and chalking the cash up to lost causes

 

Any pics of the install and of usage that you can share?? I'm starting to debate if I want to install something in my '08 GTS.

Does this option work if the car comes with the Phone Module (sim card tray) built in?

A few add'l questions come to mind:

- My car comes with a standard CD player, but no changer. However, it does have XM installed and working. Per your user manual, it would sound as if MOST is already active, so I would not need to go to the dealer should I want to install and use this unit, correct?

- Will I retain my XM should I install the aux/ipod unit?

- Will I retain the ability to use my single slot CD, and toggle between that and the ipod (that acts like a new cd changer)?

Reviving an old post- I can't believe time flies...but it does. I've finally decided to go with a mObridge iPod only unit (A2010). Here's the ultimate question, does my 08 CTT have a PCM 2.1 head unit or not? The reason I ask is the photo of the PCM 2.1 on the mObridge website doesn't look anything like mine...just want to be 100% sure before I pull the trigger...thanks in advance!!

the picture MOBRIDGE is showing for a 2.1 on the cayenne selector page is actually a PCM3.0 out of a cayman or 911.

the 2 and 2.1 look almost the same, all black, but the 2.1 uses DVD under the passenger seat.
