I bought a set of lowering links on ebay for 75 bucks, and didn't know what to expect. They are billet machined, and held a tight tolerance. I couldn't measure more than a .1mm (micrometer) variation in the set, which might also have been the grommets, so that made me happy. An hour later, and all installed:

Tough to see since I used an ineffective camera angle, I got around 2" lower stance on the loading setting, and 1+" lower on the terrain (probably due to the displacement of the sensor arm at the higher angles). Took the car out on my informal test track (some local off ramps, and curvy roads) and I really like the way the suspension feels and the way it handles.
Now, I just need to get my 22" rims on...

It took a little bit less than an hour. I did not jack the car up, just raised to terrain level, reached in above the tires in the front, loosened the two balljoints, popped the links off, moved the bushing and balljoints over to the billet ones, and re-installed. The rears are a one-hand job if you don't jack up, so be prepared to loosen a bolt/nut with one hand and two wrenches... you need two thumbs, or a creative way to lean one wrench against the lower suspension arm (my choice).
All in all, very easy and satisfying hour...
My compressor cycled a few times when I powered back up, but since then, it has acted like normal. Maybe purged the pressure somehow?
Stiffening the suspension as a side benefit, helped the rear "squatting" under acceleration and the front tuck under decelleration a bit too. I wish there was a way to stiffen the suspension a little bit more on command as my PDCC Sport is slightly too soft at times, still.

Everything will work as it did stock. I don't remove and install links with removing the ball pins. Doing it that way is fine. Whatever make one feel more comfortable. I just pop off the links from the ball socket. No matter what brand vehicle you change links on the hardest part it removing the stock ones. On the Cayenne I would suggest just removing the rear wheels. Simple enough to do and it will be much easier. The links will be starring right at you. For the fronts you can just raise it and squeeze your arms in. Just don't turn the key on while doing the links. I personally just raise the vehicles and take all the wheels off.
Here is the tool I use to pop off links:

Where did you get that tool or what is it used for? When I took the stock links off I was worried I would break the plastic arm. I was going to put the stock links back on for the winter since I have the lowering links right where I want them for summer driving and my summer rims/tires.
hi, i just bought a 08 cayenne base and i wanted to lower it, noticed your posts with the links, how has it been with the links on it? not sure if the module is a better way to go? thanks for your time
