I saw that Cayenne(are there a fleet of them?) a few weeks back in Downtown L.A. on 4th street they were filming a commercial I assumed.

I got to look at it for a good 10 minutes while they blocked off car and foot traffic to film.

 

Yep, I've seen it many times in SF filming car commercials. Last time I saw it they were shooting stuff for the new Fiat.

 

That's a pursuit car. Theres a couple companies in the business and they have a wide variety of camera jib cars. I've worked with a BMW mini Cooper with a jib, a Mercedes suv, a hummer h1, and of course the cayenne. The back window is a lexan bubble in order to fit the jib arm operator in the very back.FWIW I believe the cayenne is well over a million dollars.

 

How cool! I've seen that Cayenne a few times filming in and around Los Angeles. It's pretty neat to see in person.
