Cool Motorized front plate mount? Anyone?

I've been stopped twice in the last two weeks for no front plate. (same officer) two different cars. Once in my CTT and once in my 928S4. (think next Sunday I will take my 951 and see if he will stop me again)

Anyone installed one of these motorized from plates on their CTT? Pics of the install?

I'm jealous, Anne! I really HATE that I need a front plate on my gorgeous GTS front grill here in MA! I actually have a tow hook plate mount specifically made for this vehicle but I really don't like the look of that either and I especially don't like that I need to remove that stainless steel skid plate cap to use it. I'm currently looking for yet another solution but haven't come up with anything yet...

That totally sucks Jay!! Grew up in MO where we needed two, and did med school/ residency in MO too. Now live in KS where we just have the back one (thankfully)!! Interesting you mention MA, we're leaving for Boston in literally 4 hours!

I hope you enjoy your Boston stay Anne! Unfortunately you're just missing the unseasonably warm weather we've had for the past couple of weeks. I think it's going to rain starting around 7 or 8pm (est) tonight and then cool back down quite a bit for a few days (probably until April!). Where in Boston will you be? Perhaps I can recommend a good restaurant for you!

Cole, I thought about it, but after getting pulled over 3 times one day within 2 hours with no front plate in my evo (and yes I got a ticket from the first cop that pulled me over)....I said nah...lol

Might be different with the Porsche though

does placing the plates in the dashboard ok? or it depends on the officer that pulls you over?

when i had an orange 350z, i got like 4 tickets for no (front) plates.. so far no tickets since owning the cayenne (black).. do you think it's because of the color that cops notice you?

When the state law requires a front plate you are required to have the plate mounted to the body of the exterior of the car not in the windshield.
I've never been pulled over for not having one, just got the parking tickets....

Texas & NJ require front plates... Florida does not.. NJ does enforce the no front plate law... in Dallas I've been pretty lucky I guess.... I would be interest in that motorized plate though if and when they start enforcing this law...

I drive down the hill from Evergreen to the airport on a regular basis, so I'm in a pretty high risk zone for tickets. I put the Cayenne plate in the standard location. For the C4S, I bought a front plate mount that screws into the threaded hole for the tow hook. I like that better.
