WTF: ABS failure workshop warning! SUV won't start.
I go to start the suv and it makes a funny noise, wont start and I get a lovely warning being displayed. ABS Failure Workshop. Any others ever have this issue? If so could you share your experience.

There is a vacuum line that cracks on the passenger fender that often causes this error code. Wrap some electrical tape around it and it usually cures it.
I would imagine if it cusses enough of a leak the computer might shut down the car when you try to start it.

I had the cracked vacuum line and it displayed the red Brake Booster Faulty warning message. The vacuum line went to the vacuum pump for the brake booster. Vacuum pumps are only on the Turbos IIRC.

Problem solved. Tow truck guy came and started the suv Apparently there could have been air in the gas tank or the suv was flooded... Whatever the case it works now so all is good.

I had a vacuum line failure near the engine.....it caused low oil pressure signal and high revs on my 6er.....
Was still getting bad faults on ABS and cat/02 sensors as well.
you should still go measure the cold cranking amps of the battery......if below 700-600, your going to need a new one shortly. Mine was reading 255, yikes...
Batteries Plus/Autozone or Orellys
