2008 V6 35k miles, just started getting a chirp from around the belt tensioner. Can't really tell exact location. Only hear it when it idles. Any known/common problems that could be causing this?

Go to your local Harbor Freight. Buy the $3.99 (often on sale for as low as $1.99) mechanic's stethoscope and you'll be able to track it down yourself. It's very hard to diagnose noises over the interwebz - especially without a sound file or similar... and when you can't tell the exact location.

Chances are it's an idler bearing going bad.. but - who knows? The tool from HF will tell you exactly where the noise is coming from. Don't get it caught in the belt while the engine is running.
