Best looking 21" or 22" wheels on a Cayenne!!??
Best looking 21" or 22" wheels on a Cayenne!!??
Hey all, I'm torn! The more wheels I look at and more Cayenne's I look at that have aftermarket wheels just makes me more undecided that I am right now. I am looking for a 21" or 22" wheel in 10" width, maybe 50-55mm offset.
Most Cayenne's look great with bigger wheels when lowered, but once they are at a little higher level, most look goofy IMO. So I am looking for the best looking wheel when lowered ( I will be lowering my Cayenne ) and not so weird looking when the suspension is lifted.
Also what offset works without spacers?
Any suggestions would be great!!! I'd like to narrow it down b/w a couple of choices.
I like the Techart Style and the look of the iForged REV or Sprint style (expensive though).
I'm thinking either all black or either black w/chrome lip.
Thanks all!

How about the 21" OEM GTS wheels? Personally I don't like black wheels as IMHO they tend to "disappear" but if you really want black you could just have them painted. I think the OEM GTS 21s are the best looking. You could probably even find a good used set at a reasonable price...
Certainly agree with you on the "no chrome". Kind of odd - there are gazillions of wheels that look great on gazillions of vehicles but again, IMHO, this doesn't apply to the Cayenne - i.e. there are VERY few that look good on our P!GS other than OEM...
^^^ Exactly.
I saw some 22" Rinspeed wheels on a newer Range Rover last night and they looked great. On the Cayenne, not so much. I like the deep lip of some of the HRE's but I don't want do the wider flares or wide-body kit.. Maybe an aftermarket bumper or front lip in the future at most.

Get a forged custom set and you wont be disappointed. I had a set of 22" wheels built when I got my 08, now have winter 19" on the car, and it is tough to look at on the 19" wheels. I also love that I had my wheels built to accept the factory center cap.
Here are a few pictures of the wheels. If your interested in buying them, PM me I think I may sell them as I plan to move on from the Cayenne this summer.

Another vote for the OEM 21"s from Porsche... both designs do look sharp on these SUVs... I've also seen some of the classic Techart Forumlas on Cayennes and they look pretty good too.

BTW Scot - this is another set of wheels on my short list that I think would look fantastic on your Cayenne. If they were available in 21" I'd probably go for a set myself but I think they're only available in 22" and maybe 20". What do you think of these?

I love these as well, but again, only available in 20" or 22"...

I like the 15-spoke GTS wheels, but I'm worried about the offset from some of the knock-offs that are sold. I've found 47mm?? I think that might work.
The Turbo style are nice too and look pretty good in black IMO. I'll keep those on the table too.

Ok so I've been hunting around ALOT, and I think these look pretty good, but I imagine the centers black (which I could get done). I like the aggressiveness of both of these a lot, kind of sinister looking.
Gfunks: I like your wheels too!!..
Both are 22x10 50mm offset 5x130. I really like the two/three piece look on the Cayenne, a little more than the 1-piece designs. And I'm just not loving any of the one piece wheels I'm seeing. Btw, I'll have a lower lip like that too by this summer, lowered as well.
Let me know what you guys think.

Well, wheels are obviously all about individual taste and the bottom line is that you should get what YOU like. I'm a 5-spoke guy all the way, but when I say 5 spokes that could also mean 5 sets of 2 but clustered such that it has a 5 spoke design. Those are very nice looking but just not my personal style. I really like the 3 I mentioned to you the most but again, it's your truck so all that matters is how well YOU like them.

Nah, I know what mean, we all have different tastes. I think I'm set on going outside of the larger Porsche style wheels that are available at this point, mainly because I've seen some others that I really like vs. that meh feeling with the Porsche factory styles. I do appreciate all the suggestions though!
