Panoramic Roof

Looking to order a new 2006 CTT and respectfully request experience(s) with this rather expensive roof option.

With the additional drive motors and electronics required, it has me thinking of maintenance and repair issues. I would also like to hear opinion on both usage and function of the option. Addoitional wind noise perhaps??

I heard they stoped accepting orders for the panoramic roof option due to some water leaking issues.

2 wks ago we took delivery of a CT w/ pana roof option for my wife. Not withstanding the blood-rushing power (we opted for the 500hp pwr kit), it is perhaps the feature about which she is most excited. The mechanism is artfully designed. It is also surprisingly functional...with the rook fully retracted, it allows a fair degree of unobtrusive wind into the car....somewhat akin to that of a convertible dynamic. It’s too early to comment on durability, however from all appearances I don’t anticipate any nagging issues. We’re happy we spent the x-tra loot for this option. All in all, it was a pure pleasure for me to see my wife so entirely delighted with her new ride. I fully endorse the pana roof…go for it!

Sean,

How much elapsed time for actuation of the roof into a fully retracted position? Also, does it completely retract and disappear or do the panels stack outside of the roof cavity if you can visualize? Has your roof had any leakage?

Thanks.

Elapsed time is circa 12 seconds. When fully retracted the panels are stacked as you described...but not at all noticeable. No leakage at all....its remarkably designed.
