It's not often I say this, especially after having just completed a mod, even if small, but I think this might go down as one of the 'not worth it' modifications.

For $230, I swapped out my shifter with a Alcantara shifter boot and ****. I actually thought the shifter was going to be Alcantara along with the boot, but instead it's just leather. Sure it looks clean and nice, but I'm not sure I'd recommend this "upgrade" for the money.

Yeah, so the shifter **** is the same (keep in mind this is OEM), it's just the boot that changed from leather to Alcantara. I mean it looks nice, the changed boot, but I was expecting both to be.

 

Expensive but it sure looks nice though!

 

Looks nice at least... you will see it every day, so hopefully you will enjoy it regardless of what you paid. Was considering changing out my tiptronic shifter with an alcantara one for about the same price, but didn't pull the trigger.

 

It does (look nice), and I do prefer the Alcantara over the leather. Just for less than twice the price of the shifter I removed the secondary cats, and I LOVE that modification.
