Leistung Exhaust

I have a 2003 4.5 V8 CS and I am currently looking at exhaust options. I'm pretty settled on Leistung Duel rear with X-Pipe, but can not decide between getting Cat Bypass or Resonated Bypass. Which sound better? and is Resonated worth the extra $200? I still have to get a shipping quote to Serbia, which will be $$$ And should I go for Leistung cold air intake, or AP (Agency Power) cold air intake? Getting Leistung would be easier (cheaper to ship together from one manufacture) but I don't mind paying extra for AP if its better

Other than that in term of Performance mods, I'm doing An ECU re-map but thats pretty much all I can think of. Exhausts, Air intakes and ECU, anything else? I would like a supercharger or turbo(s), but I haven't found any information on it anywhere, just requests and Questions with no answers.

Thank you

As for resonated vs. non-resonated, it's all about the sound. I haven't seen or heard a video of someone with the resonated, but that would be very helpful.

I'm on the same path...did the cat's, waiting on the CA intake, and then looking to do the ECU.

What I saw on the SC was that it was a no-go on the V8's, and that was from a SC builder. As for Turbo's I've seen people saying $20k+, and honestly I think u'd have to go it alone, acquire turbo's, figure out install, figure out the exhaust, ECU mapping, etc.

Yea, those are the same frightening figures I heard as well

A Leistung intake? $700 for AP is a lot, not heard much feedback from to either...

I'm also getting a SPRINT BOOSTER, heard lots of positive feedback, no negative yet.

I think I will be going for Resonated, just hope it will not be too loud that it gets annoying. Hows the sound on yours?

Mine is loud, especially in sport mode, but I'm non-resonated [I have a video posted on here of the sound]. You should have a more "refined" sound with the resonated removal than just straight.

I too have read good things about the Sprint Booster, but want to wait till after the ECU tune as I believe the ECU tune will also increase throttle response as well.

As for Leistung intake, I'm waiting to take delivery of mine so I can't comment...yet.

Have you looked at headers / extractors not sure of cost but i think i seen them on the fabspeed website, could be worth a few more hp and improve response. would think they would be expensive to ship as they are a good size and not light.

I know Leistung makes the primary cat deletes for the 955, but not for the 957 (though if you contacted them they might make them for you). That said, it doesn't look like they have a full headers solution (don't see them on Fabspeed either). BTW, in the states, I doubt you ever pass an emissions test with the primary cat delete.

Yeah, for now they only show it on the 955, but contact Rob (the owner) and tell him you are interested. Scot - 03evoIII was I think the first to have the primary cat deletes made by Leistung on the 955, they may be looking to expand the 958 product line.

Here is a video Rob put on YouTube of the resonated cat bypass on a 955:

I have a set of Leistung primary cat deletes for the 957

You can see them on my exhaust build thread.

Excellent... I wonder why Rob doesn't have them listed on the website.

Not yet, but mind you I'm waiting for their first/beta carbon fiber version, which is going through some additional heat testing, to make sure it doesn't discolor. Personally, I'm not sure if the CF is going to be that much better performance wise, but I definitely think the CF tubes will look the sh$t. Been through Renntech's, GroupeM's, and they all look great when you open the hood; expecting the same with this.

But, if you can't wait, you could order the aluminum version on their site.

It's still TBD, but Rob's an enthusiast like us (President of Leistung), so I'm not worried about price gouging. Give him a call and tell him you heard a rumor from Russ in CO that he's producing CF intakes for the 957. I think they'll be a hit, and the only ones on the market for a Cayenne (that I'm at least aware of). ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME (I've been waiting since May)
