Usually when cold slips a bit.
Then gets better.
Mechanic Did a gearbox oil change and mechanic says its even worse, so far he put 6 quarts .
Is there an specific procedure for the gearbox oil change?
How many quarts? 9?

The car has 70,000 miles.
Cayenne S 2004 .

The clunk is from 4 th gear when downshifting to 3rd.

This same thing happened to my 2004. I found that the valvebody was toast. Research shoed that its a common issue on the Cayenne.

 

Only 4 quarts fit and the gears are slipping.
It needs more oil but doesnt fit.
How do I make it fit?

 

Does it throw a code?

 

Is the gearbox at the correct temperature? Is it being filled while the engine is running? Both are a requirement to change the fluid.

 

did the OP ever find the solution to this? I have the same thing happening in my 08 V6 and i doubt the transmission would be toast since it only has 55,000kms on it.
