check engine light...misfiring

On the side of the road in southern IL on Thanksgiving Eve

Check engine light is on, 2005 Cayenne S is misfiring like crazy

I need your help and I need it bad

Sounds like ignition coils. Have you had yours replaced? The original coils on 2003 - 2006 Cayenne V8 engines are a known problem area.

Able to limp to a hotel and keep the family safe...AAA is riding to the rescue.

I had the same thought about ignition coils. I don't think they were ever changed/updated. Will find out when the dealer pulls up the maintenance history.

Parktown Porsche in Kirkwood, MO tells me the fuel pump failed

My 7 y.o. beast is sitting next to a spanking new silver 991 in the shop...hope that owner isn't dealing with new car gremlins

Fuel pump failure is another common issue. I had my primary fuel pump replaced last year (there are two fuel pumps).

Cayenne 2004 3.2 v6

I have a Cayenne 2004 3.2 V6. The car also running misfiring like crazy and the CEL is on today. I just get the 6 spark plus and 6 coils changed out at Porsche. I only good for about a week and the problem resurfaced again. Could the failure on single fuel caused this problem?
