To Add a towing option? And is there a DIY on changing the cooling pipes?
To Add a towing option? And is there a DIY on changing the cooling pipes?
Pretty new to the forum. Should have had an 05 CTT yesterday but my buddy had to take it to the shop, while at the shot they let his wife have a new BMW to use while her CTT was being repaired. I was ready, cash in hand, then she got into her CTT and told her husband that she no longer wanted a new BMW and she wanted to keep her CTT.
- sucks for me.
So I'm back in the market. Found a nice 04 with about 68k but it has no hitch. I NEED a hitch in a big way. I have a boat's, PWC's etc.. Anyone attempt to install an aftermarket hitch? How tough was it? I don't want to screw up a good looking Porsche.
The coolant pipes, the plastic ones that are rumored to always go bad.... Is there a DIY type of write up telling me how to change these out myself? If so this could make my shopping go easier.

Suncoast sells the factory hitch as a kit - and I asked my dealer service if it was a retrofit and they said yes (my Cayenne also does not have the hitch). The hitch is supposedly easy - depending on the bumper style you have there may or may not need to be anything cutout, but the wiring is supposed to be quite a bit of labor.
As Henry has mentioned we offer a complete kit necessary to change out plastic coolant pipes to aluminum that includes a DIY. Click Here for more information on the coolant pipes. Keep us posted and let us know if you end up getting that Cayenne
