My 2004 CCT has an unusual squeaking noise (err, err, err, err), which seems to be coming from deep inside the dashboard just to the passenger side of center. It happens when I start the car, before I even put it in gear.

I suspect is has to do with either the air suspension adjusting or with some sort of HVAC actuator that may be stuck.

Has anyone else experienced this? Tearing the dash apart to locate it does not sound like an appealing exercise.

Could it be your heater/air conditioning fan? They have been known to fail on Cayennes, and they are a fairly easy DIY replacement.

 

I have a similar problem, dealer said it was one of the ten or so actuators used to control the HVAC vents.

 

I don't think it's the fan. I removed the lower dash cover and can see the fan housingf and that's not where the noise is coming from. I do tend to think it is one of the actuators, but before digging in further it would be great to see some sort of HVAC diagram/schematic for the 955.

Does anyone have one the can post, or a link to where I can view one?
