2009 Turbo S...Couple of questions

Hello...I've been a member for many years but this is my first post.

I was looking for a tow vehicle for my kit car project and the Cayenne kept coming up as an excellent tow vehicle in internet searches. It prompted me to start reading the road tests, and Cayenne forums. One thing led to another and I grew interested in the 955/957 Turbos and I picked up a 2009 CTTS.

The CTTS defies the law of physics. I'm in love with it. It's so nice, I'm not sure I'll tow with it after all. It may become my daily driver. I already have the modding bug.

I have searched and read threads for hours on the forum but still have a couple of questions before I purchase my first mod:

1) Differences in ECU tune? There are huge gaps between the costs of certain tunes. Right now I'm leaning towards the softronics, but I thought I would ask for input before I pull the trigger.

2) What is the quietest non-restrictive aftermarket exhaust for the TTS? Contrary to most, I'm trying to make it as fast and quiet as possible, and I'm a little nervous how loud it will be after I put on the bypass pipes.

Thanks in advance for any feedback to the questions. I'm looking to spend more time here and contribute where I can.

Here are a couple of pics of my kit car that led me to purchase Cayenne TTS:

Congrats on your purchase. I love my CTTS. When it come to ecu tunes I really live my EPL tune by Tony, I highly recommend EPL. When it comes to the exhaust I would say pick up a set of sharkwerks or fabspeed bypass pipes. I have no experience with leistung but I'm sure they are all the same. And I will recommend to leave your stock muffler if you want quite because my CTTS with fabspeed bypass pipes and the Tuni style exhaust sound really good, as I am constantly getting compliments the combo is very loud!! It's not bad inside the cabin but my neighbors aren't fans. Since you are looking for hp gains and quite you might also want to consider electric cutout s in the exhaust. So you can have the option of stock and performance.

I see you are in LI. I work in NYC. Any chance we could meet up for a ride in your CTTS to get a feel for the upgrades and the tune? I don't have enough posts to PM or I would have asked you privately.

Thanks

I didn't realize there were so many CTT owners in the area, I'm in downtown Jersey City. Does anybody in the tri-state area ever organize a "cars & coffee" Saturday meet during the Spring/Summer?

I go to a bunch of shows on the island, usually Sundays at captree or OBI, there are a bunch of Porsches there every week. A lot of members of the PCA go.

Nice, I'll have to try to keep my eyes peeled for when/where those are. Is there a site for these or another forum group that organizes these?

Nassau NY is about an hour and a half from me. It could work.

SJT0017: We are much closer. I'm interested in a local meeting up event too.

The metro pca site post some events, but mostly it's word of mouth. At least I do not know of any sites with events scheduled. If we could get something going it would be great. Stage7 would you want to meet somewhere halfway? We should definitely get something going in the tristate area.

Small world. I am in Nassau also and have a 2009TTs. I am in Massapequa and do all the local shows whenever I can. My TTs is my daily driver along with an SL55. My real toy is a fully built 2004 Viper. I would love to witness that kit car in person. What exactly is it and what engine are you running in it? It is beautiful.

+1 on the kit car. Looks really nice. I'm in Merrick so I've probably seen you Nader at Bellmore or captree shows. What color is you CTTS? As I probably seen it around town.

Funny I just moved from Merrick to Massapequa and actually grew up there. I used to have a black 2006TTs and now have a Lava Gray 2009.

You likely have seen my Viper before then. Black with Polished HREs!
