ECU tune & gas mileage

most ECU tune providers advertise better fuel economy as one of the benefits of ECU tune..

to those who actually did this - did you really get better mileage on your Cayennes after the ECU tune? By how much?

I reflashed the ECU in my 09 MB ML550 and picked-up 1 mpg. Plus, my ML had more low-end throttle response and pulled a lot better. I'm going to reflash (going with Softronic) the ECU in my 10 CGTS and expect the same results.

My experience has been that with the tune it is a lot more tempting to push the throttle, thus reducing my mpg, but increasing my fpg (fun per gallon) substantially more.

Why are you choosing Softronic? I'm debating on who to use as a tuner for my 08 CTT and just seeking information, reviews, reasons etc...

I have had tunes on just about all my cars over the years...(just about all of them have been turbocharged)...what I have noticed is that if I can control myself and drive "normal" I can in fact maintain the same fuel usage as prior to tune BUT it is VERY, VERY hard to not take advantage of the performance increase
