ECU tune files for CTT?

I have been contemplating getting an ecu flash on the CTT.
I have been running across some sites that have tested files, and some of them provide them for download free of charge, some renting the HW to allow the flash.

Has anyone on here done this? Get files from someone and flash and have it work?

Trying to work scenarios and options for doing the mod. Your schooling will be appreciated.

What would typical average price be for ECU flash on the TT?

other question I have is:

- wouldn't it be better to do exhaust first and then do the ecu flash? Unless the flash is not specifically customized and would not make a big diff?

What year is your CTT?
I had the EVOMS piggy back tune on my car for about 80hp gain, and then just did a $700 bypass pipe from Sharkwerks which gave me an extra 30hp, reduced turbo lag and gave more of a V8 rumble.
It totally transformed the car. When I removed these mods to sell the car, it felt horrible and quiet.
I still have a bypass pipe sitting in the garage. I will sell it to you if you are interested, you don't need to spend several grand on a full exhaust. It will only fit a 958 model though.

Same here (06 tts), exhaust and intake upgrades are on the way. Will still need to finish off my exhaust (primary and secondary deletes in 3" for now) but want to be ready when i am done.
