very well designed! for noise suppression i would prefer a fully perforated core but i doubt its easy to source mandrel bent perforated tubing lol. Should flow great and sound nice also! i am still unsure what will end up as my mid-pipes and mufflers... since i dont have the rest of my stuff i guess it can be low on the priority lost

This particular muffler was a result of me talking to him for a while and getting a lot of technical info. Then I told him what my wishes were wrt the sound of the car with these on.
I wanted a very typical Porsche/Exotic car sound, projecting powerful car when one hears it. Did not want it to sound like a truck. Also told him to make it somewhat louder since I preferred the idling sound to have a bit more growl to it.
He took the info and told me the muffler will be modified to accommodate.

So when I have a chance to install, I will see what it turns out to be.
I plan to take video/sound of:
1. Car as is (KN filters in only) - IDLE-in cabin
2. Car as is (KN filters in only) - IDLE-from outside
3. Car as is (KN filters in only) - Normal driving-in cabin
4. Car as is (KN filters in only) - Normal driving-from outside
5. Car as is (KN filters in only) - Hard acceleration-in cabin
6. Car as is (KN filters in only) - Hard acceleration-from outside
7. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - IDLE-in cabin
8. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - IDLE-from outside
9. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - Normal driving-in cabin
10. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - Normal driving-from outside
11. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - Hard acceleration-in cabin
12. 2nd Cat Del Pipes IN only - Hard acceleration-from outside
13. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - IDLE-in cabin
14. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - IDLE-from outside
15. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - Normal driving-in cabin
16. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - Normal driving-from outside
17. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - Hard acceleration-in cabin
18. 2nd Cat Del Pipes + SR1 IN - Hard acceleration-from outside

Would there be benefit of doing vid/sound of SR1 exhaust only? Means I would have to do the SR1 first, then add cat delete pipes. Just wondering what you all think. If yes, then I would likely do SR1 only first and then SR1 + 2nd cat delete pipes.

My views it would be better to do 2nd pipe deletes first since many people choose this option before doing any exhaust anyway, allowing them to get a good comparison of sound after that addon.

Awaiting some feedback before I start. Thanks.

secondary deletes likely have a larger power increase and cost less so would probably be done before other exhaust mods. i think your process is logical.

Those bypass pipes look like the ones I just installed. You'll need a 16mm socket for the bolts attaching the transmission crossmember to the transmission:

Plan on at least one nut securing the secondary cat to the downpipe to nut to not yield without breaking the stud. It's usually the top one. And to make it much easier, if you don't already have one, buy a flexible head racheting wrench (e.g., http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog or equivalent) to use with a 12mm socket in removing the nuts attaching the cats to the downpipes. One of those would have saved me time and effort. Access just isn't that great for the top nuts, even with the secondary cat flexed down in the rear.

Compared to the factory piece, that muffler looks very compact. Probably is going to be rather loud, especially with the secondary bypass pipes installed. Please post a video with sound after you get everything installed. Should sound awesome. Get the d*mn thing installed already!!!

yeah, I hear ye...
These things just arrived but I now know they are in the garage, just wasting instead of being on the car. Would love nothing more than to be in the garage putting them on. Started collecting vid/sound clips for the collection already.
Hoping I will get a chance to at least to the 2nd cats today, if not all of it, depending on how early I can get out of work (been trying to clear my schedule for close to an hour now... lol).

Just to wrap this thread up, I installed the parts and had a chance to hear the sounds in increments, from just cat bypass, to all parts in.
I created youtube vids and posted for y'all to see and hear, from outside and from inside the cabin.

...these were posted in another thread.

Overall, very happy with the purchase.
Now, feel like this thread is complete.

P.S. I recently spoke to another gentleman who was designing his exhaust (for his V12 BMW), and he asked it would be worth a try to put an pipe before the exhaust gets into the muffler, to eliminate some of the lowest frequencies, and enhance the kids and make sound more uniform.
Contemplating this change at the moment.
