I bought a wiper switch that I want to replace without breaking the rear window. Does anyone have any videos on how to do this or pictorials. Here is a picture of the component I want to replace.

Changed the cover, but looking at the internals, the cover has two plastic retainers, one on each side, to release for cover to come out.
Use a flat tool to pry open one side then the other. Remove the cover. Use socket to remove screw holding the switch in place. Unclip the wiring. Make the part swap. Put screw in and connect wiring.
Be careful when putting new cover on as the plastic retainer clips are hard and will snap off if you force it . If worst case happens and you do snap off, take some silicon sealant and apply liberally then put cover on and let dry. It will hold.

I think there's more to it. I have to undo the nut after taking cap off which in this case the cap is already off. switch wire is torn. I think that the whole assembly has to be taken off the back window. I may need a wiper puller or something so not to break the glass. I'll post a picture of what I have going on now. check below. Any good instructions on how to this job properly? Its a 2006 Cayenne S. And there is a broken wire that is hanging out from the side too. I've highlighted in the photo.

 

I am pretty sure the nut comes off and you can take the wiper/switch off. Just loosen it and you will see what starts moving. I have the switch alone (bought as kit since my cover went AWOL), repaced cover only. I dug into that stuff a while back and there is not much there at all. Remove nut, you will see what gets loose, the wiper arm seems to be under there so once the nut is out it should all come out. Keep me posted. Really do not want to go try on my car again if I don't have to. There is only 1 connection there, the wire to the switch. all else is just mechanical parts.

 

The hardest part is going to be getting the wiper arm off if it's stuck. Once the nut is off, Usually a good amount of wiggling will break the wiper arm free. I think I only had to use a wiper puller on one once, and it was difficult because of the shape of the rear wiper.
